3/1/2013 5:46:00 PM Letter for the editor: Day of Resistance 2013
Sarah Palin was mocked for saying the "Obamacare" program would set up Death Panels. Now we are told $3.8 billion of the president's executive branch "stimulus" package was spent on a panel to second-guess all private and personal doctors' recommendations for individuals' health programs. That large ($3,800,000,000) of a panel will have offices in most (if not all) hospitals and doctors' offices in the country. So, to make the health care more "affordable" with that added oversight, the panel will be requiring doctors to decrease care in many (maybe most) cases. The questions requiring an answer are: 1. Who will be given less care? 2. Why will that group be deprived of some of their doctor's recommendations? 3. Will there be any political, racial, faith-based or other motivation beyond just that "he's old enough and is no longer a contributor to society, so his time is up?" My question is: What else could be the motive? I could comment on a few other items (like gun control versus Second Amendment), but I'll save that for later. My point for today is that we need to start taking back the control of our country. Those in D.C. don't seem to understand the real people across the country. This Saturday, there will be coordinated gathering across America. It's called Day of Resistance. There are more than 90 locations so far. The nearest I've seen is Yakima at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. We need to do something to get the attention of those in D.C. to somehow give us their ears. See you there - maybe?
