A special ribbon cutting ceremony May 7 helped welcome Christine Villarreal and her restaurant, Nina's Venezuelan Takeout, to their new location. What started as a food truck on First Avenue now has a more permanent location at 543 Main St. The restaurant still recommends calling ahead your order, as it is meant as takeout, not fast food, Villarreal said. The number for the restaurant is (509) 707-3142. She named the restaurant after her daughter and is keeping it going so she can give little Nina the best chance she can, she said. They serve traditional venezuelan food, including arepas, a dish made with a ground corn dough. The ribbon cutting was presented by the Greater Othello Chamber of Commerce.
