8/30/2013 1:03:00 PM Logans celebrating 50 years together
Jim and Betty Logan will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Aug. 24. They met while Betty was teaching physical education at Othello High School and Jim was working at Broadway Lumber with his father. They exchanged wedding vows in 1963. They lived in Othello during the 50 years and raised four sons: Paul (Teena), Marysville, Shawn (Laurie) and Don (Martha), both of Othello, and Glen, deceased. They have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They are retired and enjoy traveling in their motorhome, making trips to Alaska and Pennsylvania to visit with Jim's 103-year-old Aunt Lillian. They also enjoy going to their grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's school and sports activities. An open house to help them celebrate will be held at the Othello Senior Center, Saturday, Aug. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m.
