UPCOMING CLASSES
Kubotan self-defense seminar
The Kubotan is a key chain with a six-inch handle. This seminar is open to the public. We will be working on three controlling techniques and six self-defense techniques. This is a great opportunity to learn a lot of self-defense in a short amount of time. Highly recommended for young ladies headed for college. We encourage friends and couples to work together.
Instructor: Terry Stone
When: Friday, March 15, 6 p.m.
Where: Othello School of Karate, 830 E. Main St.

An introduction to the CBHA Patient Portal
Have you ever wished you could email a simple question to your health care team? Would you like to request prescription refills without calling the pharmacy? Tired of playing phone tag with your provider to receive the results of your latest lab tests? Columbia Basin Health Association has introduced a Patient Portal which will allow you to accomplish all of the above via a secure online tool. This session will feature a demonstration of how the portal works and you will have the opportunity to sign up for a user account at the end of the session.

Entering the workforce: Do you have what it takes?
With global competition, the state of our economy and older workers choosing to retire at a later age, new job openings are getting more scarce these days. With so many people vying for the limited positions, do you have what it takes to get the job you want?
This class is designed to provide you with insights into what employers are not telling you in their brief job postings, what they are looking for and how to speak their language. You will also learn some helpful tips on how to structure your resume to get the best attention and how to positively present yourself when you get that interview.

Eggs-tra fun floral design
Make your own fun Easter floral arrangement using egg shells and fresh flowers. All supplies included. Bring your own floral or pruning shears if you have them. There will be some available for those who need them. Register by Monday, March 18.

Lego club
Parent 2 Parent of Adams and Grant counties is sponsoring a Lego club for fifth to eighth grade students on early release days only.

When: First and third Wednesdays of the month, March 6 to May 15, 2 to 4 p.m.
