Elida Guerra, 82, passed away May 12, 2013, at her home in Pasco. Prior to moving to Pasco three years ago to be closer to her children, Elida had lived in Othello for 45 years. She was born in Garza Gonzalez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Oct. 11, 1930. In 1949, Elida married Adelaido Guerra in Rio Hondo, Texas. They settled in Othello in 1965. Elida was a homemaker extraordinaire, enjoyed gardening, had a passion for needlepoint and for her family. Her smile was contagious and her laugh legendary. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Othello. Elida was proceeded in death by her daughter Irma G. Salazar, two brothers Rafael and Geno Gomez and a sister-in-law Eusebia Gomez. She is survived by her husband of 63-plus years Adelaido Guerra; her children Lupe Guerra, of Kennewick, Josefa (Alfonso) Zavala, of Othello, Berta (Abraham) Diaz, Diana (Eleazar) Trevino, Joe (Sylvia) Guerra, all of Pasco, and Lalo (Juli) Guerra, of Baker City; her brothers Brigido (Nina) Gomez and Raul Gomez; two sisters-in-law Albina Gomez and Julia Gomez; 23 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
